SwiftBill ("SwiftBill", "we", "us", or "our") is a Chrome browser extension that helps small businesses create PDF invoices, save them to the user's own Google Drive, record them in Google Sheets, and share them. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

By installing or using SwiftBill, you agree to this Privacy Policy.

1. Information we collect

We collect only what is needed to provide the service:

• Google account information. When you sign in with Google, we receive your basic profile information — your name, email address, and profile picture — to identify your account.
• Business profile. The business details you enter (business name, address, contact number, email, tax registration, currency, and an optional logo) so they can appear on your invoices.
• Invoice and customer data. The invoice content you create, including customer names and any phone number or email you enter for the customer, item descriptions, amounts, taxes, and discounts.
• Subscription status. Your plan status (trial, paid, etc.) and non-sensitive billing identifiers provided by our payment processor. We never see or store your full card details (see Section 5).

2. Google user data and API scopes

SwiftBill requests the following Google OAuth scopes:

• email, profile, openid — to sign you in and identify your account.
• https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive.file — a per-file Drive scope that lets SwiftBill create and manage only the files it creates: your "SwiftBill Invoices" folder, your records spreadsheet, and the invoice PDFs it generates. SwiftBill cannot see, read, or access any of your other Google Drive files.

3. How we use your information

• To generate your invoices and display your business details on them.
• To create and update the invoice folder, records sheet, and PDF files in your Google Drive.
• To let you share invoices via WhatsApp, email, or a shareable link.
• To manage your trial and subscription and provide access to the service.

We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not sell your personal information.

4. Where your data is stored

• In your own Google account. Your invoice PDFs and records spreadsheet are stored in your Google Drive, under a folder SwiftBill creates. You own and control these files.
• In our database. Your account record, business profile, and invoice metadata are stored securely in Google Cloud Firestore, protected by security rules so that only you can access your own data.

5. Payments

Subscriptions are processed by Lemon Squeezy, which acts as the merchant of record. Your payment card details are entered on Lemon Squeezy's secure checkout and are handled by Lemon Squeezy and its payment providers. SwiftBill never receives or stores your card details. We only receive your subscription status and non-sensitive identifiers needed to grant access. See Lemon Squeezy's privacy policy for details on their processing.

6. Sharing and third parties

We do not sell or rent your personal data. We rely on the following service providers strictly to operate SwiftBill:

• Google (Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Google Drive, Google Sheets) — authentication and storage.
• Lemon Squeezy — subscription payments.

When you choose to share an invoice, the recipient you select (via WhatsApp, email, or a link you send) will be able to view that invoice PDF.

7. Limited Use disclosure (Google API Services)

SwiftBill's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Specifically, information obtained through Google APIs is used only to provide and improve the invoicing features described above, is never sold, is not used for advertising, and is not transferred to others except as necessary to provide the service, to comply with applicable law, or as part of a merger or acquisition.

8. Data retention and deletion

Your invoice PDFs and spreadsheet remain in your own Google Drive until you delete them — even if you cancel SwiftBill. You can delete any invoice PDF directly from your Drive at any time. To delete your SwiftBill account data (your account record and profile) or ask any privacy question, contact us at the email below and we will remove it.

9. Security

We use Google Cloud's infrastructure and access controls to protect your data. Firestore security rules ensure only your authenticated account can read or write your data. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.

10. Children

SwiftBill is intended for business use and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
